Chris has been at Abell Animal Hospital since 1979, 30 years! She is Abell's office manager and also is an experienced veterinary technician, with cytology being her passion. Along with her husband of 30 years and two daughters, she lives with two hand raised cats, Lucy and Snoopy, and their dog Jack. Chris is a Bears fanatic, having lived in Chicago her whole life. She also likes to spend her spare time between friends, family, and her favorite hobby needlepoint work. |

Diane has worked at Abell Animal Hospital since 1971—over 30 years!! She is neither a White Sox fan nor a Cubs fan; it is the Chicago Bears and “Dancing with the Stars” all the way. She loves animals and would take all animals home, so she brings all the stray animals she can back home to Abell. She lives with one cat: Gabby. She likes needlepoint, classical music, opera, science fiction movies and novels. |

Jeff has worked at Abell Animal Hospital since 2000 and is Abell’s resident computer guru. Graduating from the University of Ilinois at Chicago in Biology, Jeff loves being a veterinary technician because he likes the connection between medicine, science and animals. He is a White Sox and Bears fan. He lives with one cat: Iggy; two black dogs: Jello and Susie; and a belated black Labrador/Irish Setter dog: Mickey, who passed away recently at age 15. In his spare time, he likes going to baseball games, playing paintball and fishing. |

Stacie has worked at Abell Animal Hospital for over 8 years and is a teacher at heart. She loves animals. She especially loves to help animals so that she knows they are getting proper health care. She feels the teacher in her makes her more compassionate and allows her to help humans understand their pets’ medical needs. Stacie lives with one cat: Pumpkin. She was recently married to Michael, and is a HUGE Chicago Cubs fan. Both Stacie and Michael are avid bowlers and love sports. |

Melissa has been at Abell for 8 years and is a veterinary technician and receptionist. She lives with 3 dogs: Radar (shepherd mix), Lacy (Terrier mix), and Foxie (Pomeranian) and one cat: Teddy (domestic shorthair), who’s unhappily on a diet. Melissa recently finished her veterinary technician associates degree and is considering going for her veterinary certification. She likes comedy movies and loves animals. She attended North American Veterinary Conference, 2007, Orlando, Florida, and is planning to go to the Western States Veterinary Conference in 2010. |

Amy began her career in veterinary medicine in 2000 at Eola Point Animal Hospital in Aurora. Since then Amy has attended many continuing education courses and acquired a great deal of experience from her time working at an Emergency / ICU Hospital. She has a human phlebotomy certificate, but she has decided that her passion is with animals. If you're out and about in the city you may catch her at one of Chicago's many venues singing and playing with her band, Plain Ole Delicious. |

Maria has been at Abell for 16 years. She lives with 4 dogs: Mims, Fig, and Quinn (Pit Mixes,) Monk (Chihuahua). She loves animals and music. She plays the guitar and likes crafts. She is good with humans and loves to educate people on good health care for their pets. |

Jackie has been with Abell since 2001 and is currently the head receptionist. She has made several good friends, 2 legged and 4 legged, since being there. She greatly enjoys the interactions between doctors, staff, and clients. She also enjoys the interactions at home between her 2 cats, Prince and Jersey, and her dog, Radley. She says it keeps life interesting. To relax, Jackie likes to keep up with friends and family through Facebook and playing a game or 2 while she's there. She is also sure to keep up with the latest TV shows. |

Christina has been at Abell since 2003. During that time she has cared for many client animals as a kennel worker. She has recently moved up front to help out with the receptionist and technician staff. One of the things which she enjoys about Abell is getting the chance to learn something new every day. When she is away from her work family, she is with her furry family, which can rival any zoo. Henry, Shadow, Gizmo and Buddy are her dogs. Snickers and Mouse are her cats. Last but not least Stitch and Minnie are her ferrets. To relax from the constant love of her families she'll root on the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Wolves. |

Cindy has worked at Abell for 3 years as a receptionist. She enjoys greeting our furry clients and their owners. Being an employee at Abell has given Cindy the opportunity to watch the doctors in action. She has been fortunate enough to be part of a c-section team, which gave her hands on experience with the birth of English Bulldog and Chihuahua pups. She has two English Bull Terriers that keep her busy along with her husband and three kids. |

Sharon has been a receptionist since 2007. She enjoys observing the interaction between clients and their pets while trying to evoke care and compassion. At home she cares for her 3 pets Bootsie the Rat Terrier, Hard Rock the Box Turtle, and Gumpy the Cockatiel. Many of her interests include nature themes such as fishing, gardening, and painting (scenery and animals). |
