What is a Pet Portal?
Pet Portals is a private, interactive website linked to your pet’s health care records from our clinic designed to give you secure online access to your pet's health information 24/7. You can use your Pet Portal to
- manage your pet's health care and medication schedule
- check your pet’s vaccination status
- print out your pet’s vaccination records
- communicate with us online
- learn more about your pet's individual health and life-stage issues
- update your account and pet information with us
- inform us if you have a new pet or if your pet is lost
- learn about various diseases and view informative videos about health care issues
How can I get a Pet Portal?
To be a "Pet Portal" user, just give us your email address and you will receive your Pet Portal login information by return email. You can give us your email several ways:
- Click here to “Get a Pet Portal”
- Click the “Pet Portal” link on the main page of our website, www.abellanimalhosp.com
- Visit our hospital and give us your email address in person.
- Call us on the telephone and give us your email.
Again, once we receive your email address you will receive your Pet Portal login information. Within 1-2 business days you will receive your Pet Portal login information. You can then use your Pet Portal whenever you want to. It's that simple!
How do I View My Pet Portal?You view your Pet Portal by visiting our website (www.abellanimalhosp.com), clicking the Pet Portals link on the main page, and using your email address and password to sign in. You must have “cookies” turned on in your browser in order to sign in. You can bookmark the sign-in page, but not your Pet Portal since it exists only when you are actually signed in.
How much do Pet Portals cost?
Pet Portals are provided FREE of charge by Abell Animal Hospital to clients who possess an active, valid email address.
Do I need a Separate Pet Portal for Each pet?
No! If you have more than one pet, you do not need a separate Pet Portal for each pet. Once you sign up for a Pet Portal, your Pet Portal contains information for each pet with an active file in your account with us. In order to have an active account, your pet must have visited our hospital and be an active client.
How secure is my Pet Portal?
Your Pet Portal account resides on a secure server protected by a fire wall and is completely secure. It is viewable only by you when you are signed in and cannot be viewed by any other Pet Portal users.
What do you do with my e-mail address?
We use your email address as your Pet Portal sign-in name. You have the option of receiving your pet’s service reminders (vaccinations, exams, etc.,) by email. We also use the email to contact you about important health news and to remind you about your pet's health needs. We DO NOT sell our client list for use by third parties. If you would prefer not to receive emails from us, you can use your Pet Portal to change your email preferences. You will still be able to use your Pet Portal, even if you choose not to receive emails from us.
